Hello from Hyattsville!

Hyattsville, Maryland is an incorporated City in Prince George's County, located along the Route 1 corridor near Washington, DC. The City is located on traditional Algonquin and Iroquois land, with archeological record of settlement dating back 8,000 years.

The City was founded in 1886 by Christopher Clark Hyatt, a landowner and the City's first postmaster. The City grew with the addition of a streetcar line to and from Washington D.C. and thrived as a suburb of the District.

Currently home to a population of around 20,000, Hyattsville is a diverse and welcoming community with a deep connection to the arts and the environment.

The City has a variety of small businesses, major retailers, restaurants and coffee shops, parks and playgrounds, hiking and biking trails, salons and barbershops, art studios and more!  With two metro stops, bike trails, and EV-parking there are many ways to enjoy all the City has to offer.
