Violation Description Fine
Expired Meter The payment has expired on for either meter or space number and a ticket has been issued.
Display of Expired Tags The registration date posted on the license plate has expired.
Left to Curb Parking a vehicle facing in the wrong direction.
Obey Off Sign Failure to obey an official sign.
Restricted for Handicapped Parking in a designated handicapped space without a valid permit.
Residential Parking Parking within a residential zone without a valid permit or visitors pass.
Yellow Curb Parking a vehicle on-street adjacent to a yellow curb.
Restricted Parking Hours Parking in a location during the posted restricted hours. 
48-hour violation Failure to move a vehicle issued a 48 hour warning notice. Commonly issued, but not restricted solely to, vehicles parked on the street without registration or other parking violations such as expired tags or flat tires.
Parking in Fire Lane or blocking Fire Hydrant Parking a motor vehicle in either a fire lane or within 15’ of a fire hydrant.

Note: All violations mentioned above could potentially be a towing violation.

As of 6/1/2014 the City will no longer accept payment for parking tickets at the City building. All ticket payments should be sent to 'City of Hyattsville Citation Processing Center, P.O. Box 3214, Milwaukee, WI, 53201-3214.
