Harvest and Use

  • Harvest in July - August. Berries turn a dark purplish-black when ripe.
  • Jostaberries are tart and sweet, similar to a currant or a concord grape.
  • Berries can be eaten whole, baked into pies, cakes or breads, or made into jams and jellies.
