Summer Camp

The City of Hyattsville, Youth Programs team, is committed to providing quality recreational programs for elementary-aged children when school is out. Our summer day camp allows children to explore arts and crafts, learn a little with STEM, and gain exposure to various sports and games.

Groups will operate separately except for field trips, outdoor free play, or special activities intended for both groups.

During registration, please select the appropriate group for your child.

Extended Camp Hours

We provide extended camp hours for an additional fee each week. The extended camp hours are from 3 - 5:30 PM. Activities consist of free play and specialized activities. Space is limited, and registration is required.

Registration for Sumer Camp opens on February 20, 2024, at 10 AM. All registration and payments are made via RecDesk

If you do not have a RecDesk account, we recommend creating an account at least 1 day before registration begins, as the account address verification process can take up to 24 business hours. Create a RecDesk account.

What does it mean to be a City of Hyattsville resident? And why are fees different for Non-City residents?

A City of Hyattsville resident refers to those who live within the incorporated limits of the City of Hyattsville. Residents pay City taxes and, therefore, pay a reduced fee. Please note that having a Hyattsville mailing address does not necessarily indicate you are a City of Hyattsville resident.

To verify your residency, type your address into our Residency Verification Map.

Wait List

If a camp session is full, you can sign up for a waitlist. The list will be used as space becomes available up to two weeks before the start of a camp session. A staff member will contact you if a spot becomes available. You can see your place in line through your RecDesk account.
