Hyattsville Future Voters

Future Voter Banner

Hey Future Voters!

Did you know that 16- and 17-year-olds can vote in Hyattsville’s elections? If you live in the City of Hyattsville and will be at least 16 years old by the next City Elections in May 2025, YOU can vote for our City’s next Mayor and Councilmembers!

Why vote?

Hyattsville’s Mayor and Councilmembers set the policies and priorities for our City. This includes things like City events and education, park and road improvements, environmental programs, and more! Make sure you have a voice by electing officials that share your vision of Hyattsville’s future.

Thank you, Hyattsville Future Voters!

The City would like to give a special acknowledgment to all the Hyattsville Future Voters that participated in the hotly debated "Is a hot dog a sandwich" vote! Council issued a proclamation recognizing the result - a 50/50 tie!

"NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council officially declares the hot dog question to be unsettled in the City of Hyattsville and that it will be brought back for a vote in May of 2025."
