Homestead Tax Credit Eligibility Program

The City of Hyattsville's Homestead Tax Credit Program mirrors the Maryland State Department of Assessments & Taxation Homestead Tax Credit Eligibility program.

The Homestead Tax Credit limits the amount of assessment increase on which eligible homeowners pay county, municipal, and state property taxes each year, regardless of your property's value or your income level.

The Homestead Property Tax Credit may significantly reduce the amount of property taxes you owe.
