On May 1, seniors can meet with a lawyer to discuss advance directives and health care power of attorney. The service is being provided by a partnership between Hyattsville Aging in Place, Helping Hands in University Park, the Maryland State Bar, Prince George’s County, and the City of Hyattsville. Free, individual, half-hour appointments will be available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on May 1 at the City Building, 4310 Gallatin Street. Interpretation will be provided for non-English speakers. Hyattsville Is Home – that’s the theme of the spring 2018 session of FREE senior arts classes the City is offering in partnership with Art Works Now. Get in touch with your creative side every Tuesday from May 1 – June 12, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Seating is limited and registration is required.

Our Call-A-Bus takes seniors and those with disabilities to grocery stores located in the City of Hyattsville (Aldi's, Giant, Safeway, Shoppers, Price Rite, etc.). The bus picks up at Friendship Arms and by appointment for community residents. To make an appointment, please call (301) 985-5000 by 2 PM the day before the trip.
