Responsibilities
The City Treasurer manages the Finance Department, including:
- Properly accounting and reporting of all financial activities of the city
- Providing financial information as one element in making policy and administrative decisions
- Preparing the city's Annual Budget
- Preparing the city's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
- Preparing and distributing the city payroll
- Paying all city bills
- Investing city funds and debt service on bond issues
Revenues
The Finance Department receives all revenues due the city including:
- Intergovernmental revenues
- Real property taxes
- Rental unit license fees
- Business license fees
- Traders and peddlers licenses
- Temporary sales permit fees
- Traffic and other fines
